The wood was very old, but it took over 3 years to get it cut and finally dried, so Mike never did see a guitar made from it. Richard Hawley became a good friend of Mikes before he died, and I made a guitar for Richard from Mikes Wood, as well as the one for Anne, and more recently for John Smith and Martin Simpson, so its going back to family and friends bit by bit.290'
