b'The back and sides needed work as well. Its so much easier, and far more effective when there is proper access for clamping, rather than the usual frustrating job of working through the soundhole. I decided that it would be rather strange to make shaped and feathered patches over the cracks while everything else was so obviously rudimentary. There was quite a bit of work at this stage, but once again I didnt take pictures, and there isnt room for them here in any case. Re-braced to modern spec, trying to recover the aged tone without the forty year wait. Here everything is almost ready to go back together. Even the internal aluminium plate is now properly aligned. All the damage is still there, but its good damage now. Little sections of damaged linings have been replaced. Every crack reinforced. 218'
