With the original top being Cedar, thin, and in many pieces, I needed all the help I could get. I used a press to laminate the two soundboards together, the end result is flat on the outside, and thicknessed to a total of three millimetres, a little thicker than I would on a new guitar, but the new spruce part of the soundboard is only 1.6 mm thick. 217'
