b'WEEK 36: POPA pop of colour, when least expected, can take a look from blaaah to backatcha in seconds. A recurring trick of mine, I pull it out of the hat when neutrals are at play.I can only think that this love of impact started way back, with my first set of Berol felt tip pens. Its a theme that runs through many of my outfits; often provided by a bangle, a lip stain or nail polish and, if were getting all deep and meaningful for a mo, it acts as armour on days when I need some protection. Tip: Pop on a badge or two.I have a great collection going right back to my 70s childhood; they add colour and commentary.OppositeTop left to right: Hobbs pinafore dress, Haines & Bonner shirt, Zara sling-backs, vintage brooch, neon bangle, navy cross-bag; Mango khaki sweatshirt, Hartford cotton shirt, Next denim mini, Tretorn plimsolls; vintage leatherette pencil skirt, Next shirt, M&S denim jacket, Saxone heels, green metal necklace, bangle.Middle left to right: Cotton Traders denim shirt, American Eagle jeans, Stand Up To Cancer watch; pales meet a pop of pink; Soaked in Luxury top, M&Co denim midi skirt, Seychelles sandals, jewellery.Bottom left to right: Next white shirt, F&F Couture tweed skirt, Reiss heels, Topshop sparkle socks, bangle, clutch (no label); vintage brooch worn at collar; Beatles tee, Next denim mini, festival wristbands.
