Franklin College

Franklin College is a sixth form college based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.
Tealby Graphics worked with their marketing team for more than five years. The first project was to re-design their corporate identity and create a visual strategy for use in all media and to increase the profile of the college with its target audience.

The programme was successful with intake increasing year-on-year.

The major publication each year was the Course Guide. Each year a theme was chosen and developed for use in posters, advertising and other support media. The aim of the college is to be student centred and to provide open access education for all. It has been the aim of each successive prospectus to reflect this. Photography: Michael Powell

Outdoor poster campaigns have been used to promote Franklin awareness.

As well as producing an annual prospectus for ‘A’ level courses, each year a marketing campaign is developed from the prospectus’ theme. It is used in advertising and posters to promote the college.

Running alongside the provision of ‘A’~level education the college offers a range of courses for adults. Each year a guide was produced. Originally a simple list, I suggested that more information about each course on offer would provide greater response. This has proved true. Like the 16~19 prospectus, the theme is developed and used in poster and media campaigns to support the programme of courses. The use of “older generation” images enjoying learning was a recurring message.
