Agrility

agrility is a platform of digital tools that provide services to farmers, from sowing to harvest. By collecting pedoclimatic data and historical observations related to the plot, the platform makes it possible to develop made-to-measure solutions for farmers. agrility also has an entire team of experts behind it with skills in big data, geostatistics, agronomics, modelling, and IT, all on behalf of precision farming.

The aim of this project was to develop a logo that would be distinctive without being descriptive, professional and adaptable. At the same time creating a design that can be registered and protected as a stand-alone design and include added “bricks” when needed and appropriate.

The basic premise was to create a logo that did not try to incorporate any recognisable “technology” images or pictogram. This would be difficult to protect and could date quickly.

In creating a logo (the basis for any corporate identity/personality) for an organisation there is a fundemental idea: everything the company does, everything it owns, everything it produces, should project a clear idea of what it is and what its aims are. This can best be conveyed through the development and then consistent and rigorous implementation of an appropriate visual system through services/products, environments and communications.

For agrility the technologies are exciting, leading edge and innovative. The company is competing on a global stage and needs to reflect this in any form of communication. It needs to proclaim that it is using the “best brains in the world” to produce technology for the real world. To achieve this I proposed a typographic solution with and added abstract symbol that reflects technology to add a distinctive feature to the final logostyle.
